Sadly, this week I heard story after story of bad literary experiences within the African American literary culture. As a relatively new AA fiction author, I find this disheartening. When I began my writing journey I held high hopes of comradorie and bonding with AA literary professionals. I still have hope, but I will admit, I need a boost.
