Doris Noble is the author of They Didn’t Do What I Told Them to Do. She was born in Tulot, AR in 1953 to Robert and Jolatha Noble, who were share croppers on a plantation. After the death of her father, at age 15, Doris moved to California. She has enjoyed a long and rewarding career with the County of Santa Clara. They Didn’t Do What I Told Them to Do is her first novel.
The objective of the book is to become spiritually awakened and clean those areas of our lives that distance us from God. I believe that this book is considered somewhat interactive, meaning the Holy Spirit will show you what areas that apply to you.
What motivated you to write the book?
I was compelled to write it. The message that I received from the Lord was that the Lord wanted me to do something and to bless others. If I didn’t, women would remain the way they are.
What’s next for you?
The next book that I will be writing is called The Recompense, the sequel to They Didn’t Do What I Told Them to Do. After that I believe that I am to write a small devotional.
